Baseball 06

The team and Christian really came a long ways this year. They started the first half of the season with a pitching machine....and just about the time they were getting the hang of that, the second half of the season started where they went to "live" pitching. The rule for live pitching at this level is that the if the pitcher throws four balls, it is not a walk, but then the coach takes over pitching. This was a big change for the kids.....but by the last five or six games they were really slugging it! And our pitchers starting throwing really well too! All in all a GREAT season for the Padres! And many thanks to Coach Darrel (in the white shirt), Coach Dave (blue shirt), and Team Mom Carrie!

At the end of the season, Christian was one of two Padres (Miguel was the other) selected to move up to the AA League to participate in the AA League Season Finale Tournament. Christian and Miguel were moved up the Athletics, or "A's". Here are pictures from the tournament...
