Here's The Mouse in her most beautiful pose....isn't she proud of herself?

Unfortunately, The Mouse developed some skin cancer on both of her ears......the poor thing had to have most of her ears removed. Apparently, skin cancer on the ears of white cats is pretty common....especially in warm sunny climates. And as Southern California Desert Dwellers....it looks like it was just a matter of time before it caught up with The Mouse. Here's what her ears looked like once the cancer started really taking hold.....

And here's what The Mouse looked like on May 4th, 2005 after we got her home She seemed to find some comfort on a pillow while hiding in a closet.
She's feeling better now. I'll post more pictures after she's cleaned up and healed....and after the lampshade has removed.
UPDATE
Things didn't work out as we planned. About 2 months
later....in July....we had to bring the mouse in for a second surgery. The
remainder of her left ear was removed. And now.....late November / early
December....she's not looking too good again. The cancer is back....and
there is nothing left to remove this time. And not only is it eating away
at her skin....she has now also developed a large tumor where her ear used to
be. We're pretty much out of options now.....we will have to be putting
her down soon....![]()
